ETHICAL ECOLOGICAL AND BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES, FOR THE FUTURE
Magna etiam
The modern world's already integrated demi-humans into it, with demi-humans having come out of hiding some 50 years ago. Though there have been a few protests and tensions between humans and their more animalistic brethren, everyone got along all fine and dandy. Even scientists, who previously were mostly against the thought of a other sapient species coexisting with humans was unheard, now have scientific and historic proof of the similar yet different evolutionary records of demi-humans. Though some continue to live more reclusively, demi-humans now populate a sizeable amount of the population amongst humans.

However, we, a scientific company called "Heredidemi", "Hemi" for short, was founded 30 years ago, basing tourselves off of human and demi-human ecological and biological research, as well as having a popularity boom selling DNA kits and all-species-fit condoms, started conduction research on the animals demi-humans shared traits and characteristics with. In their findings, all current demi-humans correlate with existing animal species found on Earth. However both human and demi-human scientists and paleontologists have found evidence, in bones and full skeletons, of there being prehistoric demi-humans akin to mammoth, sabre tooth tigers, and dinosaurs, for example, having existed! How they evolved before humans and modern demi-humans even existed, as well as how they perished, especially if they were to have the same level of intelligence as people today, no-one could answer.
Wanting to see how far we could go go with technological advancement and biological ethics and morality, we at Hemi decided they would reconstruct and Bio-engineer the extinct demi-human life forms. And it surprisingly worked! They kept the population relatively small, conducting sort-of safe tests and experiments. With enough funds, our company purchased an island called Isle Santi, a lush, tropical island that was both vast enough to house the and isolated enough from the general population.
isle santi
A dense, warm jungle with rivers, lakes, and caves encompassed Isle Vanti, with the poles of the island being cold and frigid akin to Earth's own South and North poles, the island was the perfect place for any and all prehistoric demi-human. After a newborn reached about a year in age, they are released from the laboratory into a paddock with their kind for a month, or they were considered more-or-less juvenile, before fulling integrating into the rest of the island to live freely. Though, some individuals' gestation periods were biologically hastened so they could be put into the island sooner and older, able to survive on their own at a better capacity and hopefully teach the young.Eventually, Isle Santi was opened to the public, with large industrial fences around just around the perimeter of the island, as well as it only being accessible by plane or helicopter to ensure the safety of visitors, should the prehistoric demi-humans react adversely.
